A series of informative and interactive workshops aimed at creatives who want to expand their knowledge and confidence of working with the human form. Each workshop explores in detail a different area of the body.

  • *** Next workshop Saturday 28th June 2025 in Bexhill-on-Sea ***

    • Improve your understanding of upper limb proportions.

    • Appreciate how bones, joints, muscles, tendons and blood vessels create contours, shapes, lines and angles.

    • Understand shoulder and elbow ranges of motion: appreciate what’s possible and how that looks.

    • Observe and analyse how different fabrics drape on the shoulder, upper arm and elbow.

    • Understand how posture, movement and other factors influence fabric tension, generate creases, and create shape and flow.

The Instructor

I am a complementary therapist, artist, photographer and educator. I have a 1st class honours degree in osteopathy, and worked for more than 25 years as an osteopath and massage therapist. During my musculoskeletal career, I assessed and treated many people with all sorts of body types. I also delivered training, coaching and tutoring, and was a Display Screen Equipment assessor. Today, I remain fascinated and inspired by the human form.

More recently, I have been developing my own creative practice and was awarded a licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society.

An excellent workshop - well planned and well resourced.
